Summary
One man is determined to fight for justice, no matter what the cost. Carter is an ambitious public defender fed up with a corrupt judicial system. Despite objections by his wife, he quits his job, opens an inner city law office and organizes a group of activists determined to change the system. Now Carter's wife, Sharice, must decide if she'll stay with her husband on the mean, inner city streets or move to the suburbs with their two young children. Carter must fight the battle of a lifetime as he struggles to keep his family together and survive a crackdown by shady government officials
