Summary
In 1649, Lord Gomino, a retired emperor seeking to overthrow the Tokugawa Shogunate, steals the Yagyu Secret Chronicles, which hold secrets of the shogunate and of the Yagyu Shinkageryu technique of sword fighting . Yagyu Jubei, Master of the Yagyu Shinkageryu and sworn protector of the Secret Chronicles, must retrieve the Chronicles, end Gomino's plot, and save the shogunate before Japan descends into civil war
