Versions recorded by Gordon Bok of Maine (I learned it from one of his albums) and also recorded by Harry Belafonte. Then I found out it was recorded as a field recording by Zora Neal Hurston who made field recordings with Stetson Kennedy. She is one of the singers on the field recoding so for me, this is a sample of the kind of music Stetson sought to preserve in one way or another."
