Summary
One day, long ago, a young Lakota warrior finds a herd of strange animals--Tasunka, the horse. They are beautiful creatures, and they run swift as the wind. The young warrior captures and tames them, and his people grow rich and powerful, using the horses to rule over the plains. This saddens the Great Spirit, who had given them the gift of the horse, and so he takes the gift away
