Summary
John Constantine has seen it all as London's premier street-level sorcerer. But there are other cities to explore. In India, the working-class Magus runs into an old friend seeking enlightenment--and a monstrous demonic entity fed by centuries of oppression and misery. In Iraq, Constantine's quest to clear his name of a terrorism charge begins with a search for a veil-clad femme fatale--and leads to a confrontation with an evil that predates any Western invasion. In Manhattan, the bloody origin of the cursed Papa Midnite is revealed--as well as his unwholesome connection to the Constantine family tree. And in jolly olde England, a political blast from the past brings John back to his punk rock roots and forcibly reminds him that some ghosts are just too vicious to stay buried. -- from back cover
